Engenho II is a Kalunga community and a base for visiting the Santa Bárbara, Capivara and Candaru waterfalls. The experience includes contact with residents, restaurants, shops and local products. Arranging your visit through the community center and the association’s channels helps respect how the territory is managed.

Meals can be arranged before the hike, so restaurants can plan their preparation. Hiring a local guide and, if you wish, local transportation is part of the logistics. Book through the community association AKCE.

The local guide is hired separately: R$ 200 for one attraction, R$ 250 for two and R$ 300 for three, per group of up to six people, children included. Local transportation (listed prices): Santa Bárbara R$ 30 per person and Candaru R$ 40; without it, the distance on foot increases. Prices subject to change and availability.

About 27 km of dirt road from Cavalcante to the community's Tourist Service Center (CAT). Regular cars get there in favorable conditions. For Santa Bárbara and Candaru, arrange community transport and confirm the road to Engenho II separately.
