Plan your visit to the Park.

Tickets, circuits and services each have their own conditions. Check your preferred date and what is included before you buy.

Created on January 11, 1961, during the Juscelino Kubitschek administration, the National Park protects grasslands, springs, rivers, rock formations and Cerrado species. Its history includes boundary changes and the 2017 expansion. Its area is 240,586.56 hectares. Its recognition as a World Heritage Site, in 2001, reinforces its importance for conservation.

Some routes can be done without a guide under the conditions set by park management. Others require a guide, a booking or specific authorization. Hiring a professional is still a valuable option even on self-guided trails, especially if you want to learn about natural history, birds or geology.

The park opens daily. Entry on foot is from 8 a.m. to 12 noon; with the internal shuttle, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. After 12 noon, the shuttle depends on availability and requires buying a round trip. When open, the Seriema accepts entry on foot until 4 p.m. and the Corredeiras, by shuttle, until 4 p.m. Day visitors must exit by 6 p.m.; overnight stays and night visits have their own rules. Reference prices in September 2026: R$ 49 general admission, R$ 24.50 half-price admission and R$ 5 for eligible residents; internal shuttle R$ 35 for the outbound trip, R$ 45 for the return and camping R$ 25. Confirm prices and available services for the date of your visit.

Benefits, documents, availability and additional services should be checked at the time of booking. Check whether any rule was issued after the visitation protocol (Protocolo de visitação 2/2024) before doing a traverse or special activity.
