Between the São Pedro and Brejão ranges, Simão Correia is a waterfall approximately one hundred meters high. Access requires more than six kilometers of walking each way, with rocky passages and river crossings. The trail can change considerably with the rains, calling for experienced judgment.

The landscape includes formations called Caracol and Presépio, the latter named by Dona Geneci. The meal she cooks on a wood-fired stove comes as an add-on to the outing, provided it is booked in advance.

Treat the itinerary as a long outing, with adequate return time, water, food and a suitable guide. Don't rely only on the size of the waterfall when choosing this visit: the crossings and the state of the river are decisive.
